June 26th/27th- AVPA - $4,000 Prize Purse - Double Elimination M/W Open Doubles Tournament and COED Doubles on Sunday!

Additional Information:
Hyden Beach will be hosting an AVPAmerica Men's and Women's Open Doubles Tournament with a *$4,000 prize purse on June 26th and 27th. COED Doubles will also be held on Sunday, June 27th!

Open Prize Breakdown (based on 10+ teams/division; if 10 teams not reached, 90% registration payout will be provided):
$2,000/gender
1st place - $1,000
2nd place - $600
3rd place - $200 x 2 teams + gear
5th place - Gear

Based on the number of teams, the format will be as follows (format subject to change!). If 16 teams/division or less, the Open Tournament will be completed in it's entirety on Saturday. Stay and play COED Doubles on Sunday!

Saturday, June 26th:
Saturday AM Wave: Women's Open First Rounds- 28 team cap. Double Elimination Bracket, Olympic Crossover style.
Check in will begin on 7:00am. Player's meeting at 7:45am. Balls in the air promptly at 8:00am. This wave will end at approximately 2:30pm. 
Saturday PM Wave: Men's Open First Rounds - 28 team cap. Double Elimination Bracket, Olympic Crossover style.
Check in will begin on 2:00pm. Player's meeting at 2:45pm. Balls in the air promptly at 3:00pm. This wave will end at approximately 10:00pm. 

Sunday, June 27th:
Remaining Women's teams will check in beginning at 7:00am. Balls in the air promptly at 8:00am. 
Remaining Men's teams will check in beginning at 8:00am. Balls in the air promptly at 9:00am.
Both Men's and Women's open will end by late afternoon on Sunday. 
Check In: COED AA and A Doubles. Check in begins at 8:30am and play begins at 9:30am. Pool play with single elimination playoff bracket. Must have at least four teams to run division. Divisions may be combined.


We will not allow walk-up registrations. Sign-ups are open until Friday morning, June 25th at 9:00am. You must pay in advance to secure your spot.

AVPAmerica membership required.

Hyden Beach wants to provide the upmost service to our players and guests. To do this, we ask that you please arrive on time for registration so the first games can promptly begin on time. Anyone who is late to start the first match, will receive point deductions.  

If you are feeling sick or ill, please do not come to the tournament and contact info@hydenbeach.com immediately.

Full refunds are provided up through the 11:59pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. No refunds will be provided thereafter. Contact info@hydenbeach.com if extenuating circumstances.

Tournaments will follow USAV Beach Volleyball Rules.

Tournaments Cancellation Policy: Team cancellations that occur from the time registration is first paid online until two days prior to an event will be refunded 100% of the registration fee (e.g. cancel before midnight on Wednesday before the said tournament that is held on a Saturday). Teams that cancel after that point will forfeit their entire registration payment. Exception to policy is when there are not enough teams in the registered division to field a complete pool. If this occurs, teams in the division that does not make a complete pool will be offered a refund. Any questions on this policy or its application should be addressed to info@hydenbeach.com.

Inclement weather policy:

  • If cancellation occurs before the first game begins, a full refund for all teams present will be provided.
  • If cancellation occurs at any point during pool play, no refund will be offered.
  • If cancellation occurs during playoffs in divisions where there are cash payouts, those total cash payouts will be split evenly between the active teams at that time point in the tournament.
Tournament cancellations can occur when there is significant inclement weather (lightning) that will last greater than two hours and/or heavy rainfall lasting longer than two hours. This call is at the discretion of the tournament director. 
The Tournament Director has the discretion to temporarily suspend all play as well as clear the courts for any reason they deem appropriate.
