READ PRIOR TO REGISTERING 

After thirteen months of no Blue Sky, The Town of Chapel Hill has finally given us permission to host events.  They can also take it away.  The following rules and regulations are different then most events and absolutely must be followed if we want to have local tournaments.  Please take time to read through everything before you decide to sign up to play.  These rules will be strictly adhered to with immediate disqualification resulting in any non-compliance.  We understand that some of you might not want to follow these guidelines so please make your decision to register and play carefully.   We will not provide a refund for disqualification due to non compliance.  

  • NO spectators
  • Participants in Tournaments will be screened on the day of the tournament and everyone will have a temperature check.
  • Participants are required to wear masks when they are not actively playing, eating or drinking.
  • Officiating teams are required to wear masks. 
  • Participants may play without a mask on.
  • There will be hand sanitizer on each court and no high fives or hand slapping between teams will be permitted.
  • Balls shall be properly sanitized between matches.
  • When not actually on-court, teams shall be allocated designated spaces outside the courts that are a minimum of six feet from other teams. Parks and Recreation will help Blue Sky determine appropriate placement of spectator areas.


Tournament Details:

  • Check-in between 8-8:30 at Umstead Park in Chapel Hill
  • $60/team venmo Tristy-Bittikofer-BlueSky by Friday night at 6PM - include participants name and division playing
  • $70/team if venmo'ing after 6PM or paying cash Saturday morning
  • We truly are excited to see you again!  We welcome the first 20 people to check-in with avpamerica merchandise. 
  • First serves at 9 AM
  • Women's and Men's Open will pay out what the division brings in 
  • Women's Open is Double Elimination after 8 teams
  • Men's Open is Double Elimination after 6 teams
  • AA is pool play and prizes
  • Freeze rule in all divisions for Semis and Finals
  • Division sizes will adjust as teams sign up
