The BOMB Series is a round robin 2-on-2 beach volleyball tournament at Mesquite Beach, where parents register their athlete as an individuals and play with and against different players. The cost is $40/player, which includes 9 assigned games with new #SANDTASTIC medals. Players can earn AVP America Grand Prix points at all of The Sand Club events when you are a member.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Players that register for 16U will be combined with 18U players. Players that register for 12U will be combined with 14U players. Depending on the number of players per age division and skill level, there may be a final round of the top players for all 4 age divisions. When there is a player on the waitlist, The Sand Club may reduce the max number of players in another age division in order to take alternate players, so parents are encouraged to still register when full.

There are no refunds for injuries, illness or cancellation due to the complexity of this format and time spent altering the format for players that do not show or play for what ever reason.

During round 1, players are seeded based on age or points and assigned to a court with 3 other players. Players will play with and against every player in their assigned pool. All games are to 15 points, win by 2, no cap, switching once when the first team reaches 8 points. After round 1, players are shuffled based on round 1 results and again play with and against everyone in the their assigned pool.

After round 2, players players are ranked based on wins and losses, then point differential, then BOMB Series points (since August '21).

Unlike most 2-on-2 tournaments, this tournament does not include a bracket. Round 3, players will play with and against every player in their assigned pool just like Rounds 1 & 2. All games are to 15 points, win by 2, no cap, switching once when the first team reaches 8 points

Pool 1: Players ranked 1-4

Pool 2: Players ranked 5-8

Pool 3: Players ranked 9-12 and so on

The winner of each pool will receive a medal but players the finishes look like this:

Pool 1: 1st-4th

Pool 2: Winner 5th, 2-4 finish 7th

Pool 3: Winner 9th, 2-4 finish 11th

Pool 4: Winner 13th, 2-4 finish 15th and so on

AVP members will receive Grand Prix points for prizes at the end of the season.
