TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR'S NOTES

Check in for all CBVA youth and adult tournaments is at 8:30and play starts as close to 9:00 AM as possible. We provide ice water, Gatorademix, bananas, music and prizes.


The CBVA is proud to announce our partnershipwith the AVP in 2020! The CBVA has always been the grass roots proving groundof beach volleyball and now we're teaming up with the premier professionalleague to provide the ultimate in growth opportunity and tournament playexperiences.


The Men's and Women's Laguna Open tournaments have substantialprize money. We awarded almost $15,000 between the two last year and we hope toexceed that in 2020. Both our Open tournaments are 100% volunteer with yourentry fees going directly back into the prize purse. We rely on donations andsponsor ships from the community and donations are tax deductible when made outto the City of Laguna. (kirkmorgan@cox.net for more info) See you on the sand!


Tradition runs deep in Laguna Beach and this year we celebrated the 66thAnnual Men's Laguna Open and the 45th Annual Women's Laguna Open at Main Beach.All the great players have played here in Laguna over the years and we lookforward to continuing to have world-class competition in the world's oldestcontinuously run Open tournament. If you're playing in the CBVA youth or adulttournaments, welcome, you're in for a great experience.


DIRECTIONS

FROM NORTH: Take the 405 or 5 to the 133 Freeway towardsLaguna Beach;  Go 9 miles to the water and you dead-end into Main Beach;Tournament check in is at the south end of Main Beach;  Parking is metersor lots (usually $10 all day) and you can park in the neighborhoods above CliffDrive or off Park Avenue for free and walk to the site.


FROM THE SOUTH: Ifyou're coming from San Diego up through San Clemente, exit at Beach Cities Exit(just north of San Clemente) and go north on Coast Highway through Dana Pointand into Laguna;  Travel 11 miles into downtown Laguna and park as notedabove; If you're coming coming North from San Juan Capistrano or Mission Viejo,you can also take the 405 to the 133 and go West 9 miles to the water.
