Battle for the Throne #2 - AVP/p1440 Qualifier Event

Additional Information:
Sinjin Beach will be running it's second Battle for the Throne tournament sponsored by Raleigh's favorite local toilet rental company, Mobile Thrones!

  • Players need BOTH AVP America and p1440 memberships to participate in this event as it is dual sanctioned!
  • Please read tournament format in the schedule below and be aware that U18's is a little different than what you might be used to at a standard beach tournament!

AVP Bids: The top two teams in each division will earn bids to AVP's National Championships this summer.
p1440 Bids: The top 4 teams will earn bids to p1440's National Championships
p1440's bid process is as follows: Players receive bids at regional tournaments in order to be eligible to start in Power Pools at the Nationals and Futures Tour events, but all teams will have the opportunity to advance to the Gold Bracket.

Prizes: In addition to bids available at this event, we'll have prizes from both Sinjin Beach and Mobile Thrones Restroom Trailers. We expect competition at this event to be tough as everybody is always in pursuit of a Mobile Thrones Toilet Hat and T-shirt!

U16's Saturday
Check-in: 8:00 am
Start: 8:30am
Note: U16 will be pool play into Single Elim bracket play with standard seeding by AVP America points.

U18's Sunday
Check-in: 8:00am
Start: 8:30am
Pool Format - Power Pools based on AVP America points into single Elim Bracket play
Please note that in this format, your seed for bracketplay can only shift up and down within the seeds of your pool, so it is a major advantage to have points coming into the tournament to so that you have a high initial seed.
Ex, Pool 2 is seeds 5-8. So winning pool 2 would earn you the 5th seed in the tournament for bracket play. Pool 4 is seed 13-16. Finishing 3rd in pool 4 earns you the 15th seed for bracket play.

Age Divisions will work as follows:
U16's includes players in the 2026 and 2027 graduating class or younger.
U18's includes players in the 2024 and 2025 graduating class or younger.

Feel free to bring your coolers, tents, snacks and pets out to the courts.
